"For Mature Audiences Only"

I often chuckle or cringe when a movie or video game is labeled "For mature audiences only" since a truly "mature" person would not find these things along with other such media to be entertaining. Or what about the "adult" section of many video stores? Does someone who is truly an "adult" need to be watching pornography? Yet the amount of "mature adults" who enjoy these types of media is quite large.
I have to admit that I rarely even watch R rated movies as the sex, violence and profanity are often just too much for my taste. Maybe that makes me an oddball in our society but I'd rather be odd than one of those so called "mature" individuals. That's just my middle aged opinion.
