"Buddy, can you spare a dime?"

We've all heard over the years about this country or that country receiving millions of dollars in "foreign aid" from our government. With the exception of emergencies, I think most of this money should be put to good use here in our own country. The United States has so many problems that with adequate funding, could be vastly improved. Our infrastructure is crumbling, our schools are sub par, our homeless or poverty level individuals are growing, criminals are released early as there are not enough jails to house them all, millions of people have no health insurance, social security benefits struggle to go up even though everything costs more, etc., etc. America shouldn't be aiding other countries until we have our own backyard taken care of. That's just my middle aged opinion.
